The demand for our analytics and data services is growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Data Analytics Engineer. This role involves designing, developing and managing high quality analytics solutions. Skills, knowledge and experience…
You will work across a number of our key client accounts scoping, leading and delivering first-class SQL-based analytics solutions that integrate across our range of services. You will work to (and create where needed) best practices around data quality and governance, ensuring our data solutions are optimised for user experience through carefully considered data architecture, with a focus on adding value and creating assets that are reusable. In addition, you will be developing and maintaining BigQuery and SQL-based data warehousing and reporting solutions.
Key responsibilities
· To build excellent SQL within BigQuery to support our clients and internal teams using data for reporting and processes
· To build data warehousing and architecture to help our clients activate their data
· To take on data visualisation tasks as required
· To ensure data quality management, ensuring data is accurate enough to fit operational and analytics needs
· To create and maintain analytics and data transformation roadmaps for clients
· To support the wider agency in developing in SQL alongside the use of Google Analytics 4
· To support the business development team with pre-sale activities, driving leads and increasing analytics and data-related work for the agency
· To develop a robust understanding of clients’ businesses and the wider digital industry to inform data transformation plans and the expansion of analytics and data-related services
· To support the seamless delivery of all integrated services with alignment to company values and all relevant legal and compliance requirements
· To champion continuous improvement for efficient processes and workflows alongside building effective documentation and processes
· To actively identify and deliver upon new opportunities to grow product functionality and optimise the way we work
· To drive excitement and understanding of data with both our clients and within the business
· To actively encourage an agency test and learn culture to keep Fresh Egg relevant in market and able to delight clients with growth-driving tactics and innovations
· To initiate and carry out regular objective testing of tools, resources and performance-driving techniques working to agreed annual budgets
What you will have:
· Experience working with Google Analytics 4, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform
· Comfortable with hands-on data engineering as well as the creation and delivery of high-quality strategy to present to stakeholders
· Professionalism and a customer-first approach
· Software development experience using Agile development practices
· Strong knowledge of SQL, Python and NodeJS languages
· Experience in building and leading technical product demonstrations that include APIs
· Strategic problem-solving skills
· Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
· More than three years’ prior work in a customer-facing data engineering role
· Degree in Computer Science or a related field
· Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery
· Strong coding skills in any modern programming language
· Experience working with Cloud services for data ingestion, processing and storage
· Understanding of Machine Learning techniques, specifically, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining
