It’s a team based in Berlin, with offices in Prague, London, Melbourne.They are a team of more than 350 passionate employees from more than 45 countries who share the same vision: to create a single tool to help send travellers almost anywhere in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.Job DescriptionPrepare annual consolidated financial statements (including notes and narrative) in accordance with IFRSMonthly reporting of the consolidated balance sheet and liaison with external accountants for smaller subsidiariesPrepare annual financial statements for the German subsidiaries, in accordance with German GAAPPrepare annual financial statements for the UK subsidiary, in accordance with FRS 102Monitoring and aligning intercompany balances between subsidiariesWork cross functionally to ensure that the recognition of self-generated intangible assets is IFRS compliantBe a point of contact within the Group for all technical IFRS accounting matters. Help the Head of Group Accounting to assess and implement any relevant new accounting standards and reporting requirementsMaintain and update monthly IFRS adjustmentsRegularly update the IFRS Group accounting policies and procedures manualBe the first point of contact for subsidiary companies in the application of the Group’s accounting policiesAct as part of the project team in case of significant transactions or finance improvement projectsWork with external auditors to deliver clean audit opinions and efficient audit processWork cross functionally to achieve a robust control environmentDrive improvements in the Group’s reporting processQualificationsMinimum 3 years of relevant experienceRelevant accounting qualificationStrong knowledge and relevant experience with IFRS technical accounting and external reportingKnowledge and experience with German GAAP (preferred)Sound experience with consolidation software and ERP systems (we use Workday)Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills as collaboration across the organization is essentialPassionate about building and optimizing processesUniversity degree (BA minimum)Fluent in English, German (nice to have)Intrigued?
