In the Partner Success Organization, we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success working with Microsoft partners. As a Cloud Solution Architect for Snowflake on Microsoft Platform, you will work with our GISV partner, Snowflake, to enable them to achieve their customer outcomes, based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your deep technical subject matter expertise on Snowflake and Microsoft Azure Infra, Data & AI services, you will lead technical discussions with partners and customers to drive value from these investments, including identifying resolutions to issues blocking customer success projects and accelerating consumption. You will collaborate with your immediate and extended team of Cloud Solution Architect (CSAs) and Customer Success Account Managers (CSAMs) to drive customer and partner success. Responsibilities

  • Partner Satisfaction: Drive positive Partner Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor to partners and their customers, by leveraging expertise to enable defined outcomes aligned to partner business strategy. You will actively listen and respectfully challenge to drive the best outcomes.
  • Trusted Advisor: Develop and expand existing impactful relationships; create and sustain constructive tension and trust with partner and lead adoption of Microsoft technologies. Act as a Snowflake on Azure technical subject matter expert and trusted adviser providing architectural and technical guidance promoting successful service integrations with Snowflake on Azure.
  • Thought Leadership and Partner Insights: Lead virtual teams around Snowflake & Microsoft technologies and partner challenges, participate in external architect community events and share learnings with internal teams; demonstrate deep industry knowledge and drive recognition for Microsoft solutions. Engage with the Azure Product teams and influence the product roadmap based on customer needs and strategic initiatives involving Snowflake implementations. Provide feedback & insights from customers/partners to the relevant Microsoft teams to enable continuous improvement.
  • Consumption Growth: Develop opportunities with partners to drive Customer Success business results by working with technical decision makers to ensure they understand Microsoft's value proposition and get value from their investment in Microsoft technology. Collaborate with Snowflake sales and partner engineering teams to drive increased adoption of Azure.
  • Partner Technical Environment & Resolution of Partner Technical Blockers: Identify and evaluate industry trends and develop technical enablement plan with partner. Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends, opportunities, and competitive insights. Using technical expertise, identify opportunities to develop innovative solutions and services for partners to take to market that drives business results. Identify resolutions to issues blocking go-live of partner-led customer success projects. Lead technical conversations with partners to drive value from their Microsoft investments to service their customers. Deliver all work according to best practices & policies and using repeatable Solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 6+ years' experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • OR master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years technical sales or Implementation experience.
  • Architecture experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically with data analytics related services - Synapse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Purview, Power BI, Azure Databricks etc.
  • Technical Certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP technologies and/or Snowflake Snowpro.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends and data warehouse trends required.
  • Hands-on Working experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
  • success in consultative/complex technical sales, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications and databases required.
  • 2+ years in Databases / Data Warehouses (Snowflake, SQL DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in the following technologies preferred:
  • Cloud application design, software architecture and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM).
  • Infrastructure Technologies (e.g., Compute, Storage, Networking, etc.), Migration Techniques, and Resiliency
  • Data Loading and Transformation, Virtual Warehouse Performance and Concurrency, Data Protection & security, etc.
  • Experience with On-Prem or Cloud Data Warehousing Technology and Cloud Migration.
  • Working Knowledge of Programming / Scripting (Spark, Python, etc.).
  • Insightful listening: Cognitive and behavioural approach to listening, asking insightful questions to understand the needs of partners’ customers, issues, business environment and drivers, and going beyond what is said.
  • Situational fluency: Will explore attributes and actions of being situationally fluent, using self-awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to increase your ability to "read the room." It will teach practical methods for pivoting the customer conversation based on what you observe in your current environment.
  • Building relationships and Trusted Advisership: Building trust and creating credibility, leveraging relationship mapping across and within the account team.
  • Well Architected Framework/Cloud Adoption Framework (WAF/CAF) foundations: Describe the five pillars of WAF to a customer and outline how they are interconnected. Apply knowledge of the fundamental principles of CAF to facilitate an introductory conversation with an organization on cloud strategy and architecture though processes. Summarize the relationship, commonalities, and differences between WAF & CAF.
  • Architecture design: Apply design thinking methodology to construct architectures that drive value for the customer, incorporating policies, governance, and customer systems into the overall framework.
