Our evolution has been significant, growing from a small joint venture to a thriving ASX-listed property group that leads the way in sustainability, innovation, safety and placemaking.Our opportunityAs Senior Analyst, Investment you will play an integral role in the Investment team in helping to deliver on its financial objectives for Mirvac's portfolio of Co-Investment and jointly owned businesses. This will be achieved through the setting of the quarterly/annual forecasts, updating and tracking of financial performance, reporting on risks and opportunities and undertaking complex financial analysis.This will involve maintaining and updating Investment fund modelling for Funds that Mirvac is investing in. In addition, this role will perform the analysis of cost centres performance, prepares monthly performance on cost centres, and the quarterly/annual reforecasting.This role interacts with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. It is a unique role providing the opportunity to directly interact with stakeholders across the organisation whilst helping to shape financial advice for senior members of Investment which will enable sound decision making on major strategic initiatives on Co-Investment and jointly owned business.In this role you will:Work collaboratively with Co-investment business partners to maintain, update and enhance the Financial Model for Investment, which includes oversee the actual vs forecast variance and provide updates on monthly forecast basis, modelling for new transactions, equity and various portfolio build-out scenariosPrepare quarterly/annual Co-Investment forecast and budget, which includes thorough and accurate variance analysis including commentary, interpretations and recommendations on financial performance as well as prepare succinct and insightful presentationAssist with Co-Investment ad-hoc financial analysis including strategic reviews, portfolio analysis, performance optimisation, investment planning and returns analysis with a view to deliver superior financial outcomesBuild strong relationships with Co-Investment business partners to monitor and report key risks in a timely mannerHave involvement in due diligence on new acquisitions and disposalsReview cost centre P&L on a monthly basis, prepare quarterly/annual forecast for Investment Cost CentresWork with Mirvac teams to improve systems and processes relating to reporting and forecastingYour point of differenceThe Senior Analyst, Investment is expected to have an understanding of corporate finance, an appreciation of market knowledge and a high degree of commercial acumen. The individual is expected to operate in a dynamic environment, with the ability to think outside of the box whilst being disciplined and considered in their approach. A positive and willing to learn attitude, coupled with a personable and collaborative approach with insightful critical thinking skills are essential factors in determining success of this role.To be successful, you will have working knowledge of fund modelling and a CA/CPA/CFA qualification is advantageous, but not essential. You will have well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
