This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.We have an opening for one (1)SHIFT MECHANICAs an Industrial Millwright Mechanic, you will be challenged to provide your strong technical skills with a can-do attitude to effectively resolve all repairs and maintenance necessary so that the plant equipment can function at a high level of performance with the minimum amount of downtime.Responsibilities:Performs PM work and repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical.Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineryWorks with a wide array of precision tools.Fabricates custom parts, fixtures and guarding by means of arc welding, grinding, oxyacetylene cuttingAssembles and installs machinery and equipment such as mixers, saws, pullers, precision bearings, gearboxes, clutches, motors, shafts, sprockets, chains, conveyors etc.Alignment skills, couplings on pumps and various couplings • Participates and supports World Class Manufacturing initiativesTroubleshoots and repairs machinery and equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production requirements are metParticipate in making improvements to process and machinesIs this job for you ?Qualifications:Must be a valid Alberta Journeyman Maintenance Millwright or Red Seal3-5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environmentExperience with working with a CMMS systemSome experience working with Maintenance SAP system.Ability to operate forklifts and aerial liftsUnderstanding of bearings and their functionsMust be able to read drawings and machine parts from a sketch or sampleExcellent trouble shooting and analytical skillsThe unionized plant operates on a 24/7 scheduleAbility to work in a team and independentlyPosition is shift work which requires you to work both days, nights, and weekendsShift is a 2-2-3 rotating every 2 weeksWelding experience considered an assetA little more about usHere's what we do…CertainTeed is a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, one of the top 100 industrial companies in the world.
