Job Description:Job Purpose: Lead the finance function, developing and maintaining a high performing finance team and ensuring that financial systems, processes and controls fit the needs of an ambitious, growing business, including all aspects of financial control, reporting, and taxEncourage and develop the finance team to engage with business stakeholdersCollaborating with stakeholders to understand business context and internal customer needs so that we can proactively serve the businessOversee all financial control activities, e.g. month-end close process, preparation and review of management accounts, Taxation, Group Consolidation, Cash Management, FX req'sImprove finance & business processesManage the company's financial reporting processes and financial reportsLead the preparation of the statutory accounts, and manage the year end audit processDevelop and maintain financial controlsManage the Company's tax affairs and use of external tax advisorsEssential experience for the role:Proven people management experience - both developing people and managing changeSomeone who possesses a calm, positive and pragmatic approach to leadershipClear communicatorSomeone who can oversee without micromanagingA curious manager without blame who can steer people in the right directionOverseen transactional finance as well as accounting (AP, AR, payroll)Process improvement experienceExperience of managing the year end audit processIdeal experience (not essential):Worked within a company that handles the movement of physical goodsExperience of transfer pricingGroup company experienceRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
