Through warehouse clubs, food-service and wholesale distributors and janitorial-supply companies, AFH supplies quality paper-based solutions to the accommodation, food service, property management and healthcare sectorPosition: Millwright - 8hrs day shiftJob Responsibilities:The Mechanical Millwright is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of tissue converting equipment:Install, align, adjust, take apart and move converting units and other equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyors, according to layout plans using hand and power tools.Communicate with supervisors, operators and incoming/outgoing mechanics to determine daily priorities.Supports operations by completing changeovers of major components on converting unitsOperating hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machineryInspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctionsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsClean, lubricate and perform other routine preventive maintenance work on machineryWork systematically and logically to troubleshoot problems and identify the root cause - resolve and put in place measures to prevent reoccurrenceParticipate in continuous improvement activities including idea generationParticipate in training and cross training improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvementCompleting shift handoversComplete all required paperwork (shift reports, breakdown reports and inventory of parts removed from stores); andDevelop and maintain effective relations with all company employees at various organizational levels.Perform other duties as requiredJob Requirements:RequirementsValid Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate (433A);3 to 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Millwright;Experience working in high speed packaging equipment preferredPneumatics and hydraulics experienceEffective communication skillsKruger Products is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
