We are committed to developing the highest skills in our community mental health staff through the LHD’s pioneering Diploma of Mental Health program, structured workplace competency development program, and supervision programs.This role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.About the roleIn this role, the Acute Care Service model of care provides:Mental Health assessments to consumers within the community experiencing acute mental health problems (including a rapid response when indicated) and determining an appropriate pathway to care (e.g., community treatment; assist consumers access and admission to inpatient treatment).Short term mental health treatment in the community often as an alternative to hospital.In reach to hospital to promote effective follow up post mental health admission.Collaborative care for consumers transferring between hospital and community.The model provides short term mental health interventions in the community for consumers experiencing mental health distress.
