We are looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining client files;
- Producing a monthly profit and loss breakdown from documents provided to you by the client
- (only if included within service package);
- Completing periodic reviews of client’s files to ensure that information is being recorded and
- allocated correctly (only if included within service package);
- Calculating liabilities such as PAYE and VAT, ensuring RTI requirements are met;
- Preparation and submission of P11d’s;
- Preparation/reconciliation/explanation of annual accounts, closure accounts and Corporation Tax computations to approval stage;
- Ensuring your clients meet all their filing deadlines, providing reminders to clients where necessary;
- Communicating with HMRC on behalf of clients;
- Delivers work that displays a good knowledge of technical and professional standards;
- Meets the Group quality standards on technical work produced.
- Coaches others to develop their understanding;
- Identifies and responds to client’s requests and makes recommendations to Senior Accountant on solutions to more difficult client issues;
- Filing of financial statements
- Work efficiently with an understanding of how own role contributes to the success of the business;
- Growing the business through referrals (partner referrals, PSC referrals and Trust Pilot online
- reviews);
- To undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager within the scope of the role.
- Keep up to date and follow any relevant legislation and/or policies and procedures in line with Bribery, Anti-money Laundering and FSCA requirements
- Adhere to SLA’s as required
Skills & Requirements:
- 9-5 or A to C grade (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Mathematics – A-Levels – Degree qualified
- Working towards ACCA, or qualified by experience (2years+)
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and organisation skills
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and E-mail
- Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to meet targets under time constraints
- Detailed knowledge of HMRC guidelines
- Knowledge of accountancy software packages such as Digita, FreeAgent, IRIS and Sage
- Deliver excellent service to internal and external clients
