WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
SALARY: £22,000
LOCATION: Consett
WORKING PATTERN: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE/DESCRIPTION:
Analysis and preparation of samples. Operating instrumentation and producing accurate results, ensuring workload is organised and up to date. Carry out basic Bench Chemistry. Delivery of key objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis and preparation of laboratory samples and reagents in accordance with laboratory test procedures.
Responsible for hitting daily targets and deadlines as set by the Team Leader.
The calculation and interpretation of analytical results.
Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
Ensuring Quality procedures are adhered to.
Data entry into LIMS.
Calibration, equipment and balance checks.
Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.
Part of the weekend rota team.
Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
HNC or degree in a science related subject and two years laboratory experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience using ICP-OES, ICP-MS, SAN++ or Skalar systems would be advantageous.
