What you need to know about the role…
The Gym’s pioneering low-cost, no contract, 24x7 business model relies heavily on innovative digital experiences. All our members join via the website and our online self-serve tools are a key part of the member proposition. Our website and app serve well over 1m users each month, and our digital offering becomes increasingly important as the membership base grows, and the health and fitness industry continues to embrace technology.
We are currently transforming our digital experience working with cutting edge partners, technology and people to power a next generation digital experience. Our programme is working with micro-services and a headless architecture to improve our eCommerce, service and in-gym experience.
You will be joining a growing a diverse and growing Product & Engineering team having just completed a major re-platform, we want a team to help our members and TGG get the most out of the technology.
The QA Engineer role is responsible for delivering a high-quality experience for our members. You will be working very closely with internal and suppliers to ensure the quality of our digital deliveries. The applicant will initially work from home with some travel to the office in East Croydon.

Principles accountabilities…
As a QA Engineer, you will:
Actively engage in epics or user stories and deliver test artefacts.- Engage in both manual and automation test creation (web, mobile and API), regression testing and release management.
- Perform Android and iOS mobile native platform testing.
- Manage test coverage analysis and monitoring.
- Map business and technical requirements into test suites, test cases and test script.
- Provide regular and various QA test metrics during the test phases.
- Create scheduled regression test runs per test environment.
- Actively engage in Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery/Deployment.
- Raise & track software defects using Jira / Azure Devops as appropriate.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders including Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Developers (internal/external) Solution Architects and Business.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork effectively, independent, self-motivated, and adaptable to learn new technologies and test automation frameworks.
- Report on test deliverables progress to the QA Lead and Delivery Managers.
Let us tell you what we are looking for..
We’re looking for someone who is clearly able to demonstrate:
10+ years hands-on test experience.- 3+ years automation testing experience.
- Conversant with Agile working practices and experience using Jira or Azure Devops work management tools.
- Strong teamwork skills, self-motivation, energetic, with a commercial mind-set and an ability to think innovatively.
- Experience of building system integration, user acceptance and end-to-end testing into a test plan.
- Experience of Full Stack technical landscapes testing.
- Experience testing front end website testing.
- Experience testing websites on mobile devices.
- Experience and good understanding of API testing, use of tools such as Postman and similar.
- Experience creating test completion reports at all stages of testing.
- Working and delivering with external partners.
- Good time management skills during the test phases.
- Communicate clearly verbally and in writing at a technical as well as a business level.
