We approach our work in a warmer, more optimistic, and inclusive way.JLL is a global leader in helping clients envision where people will live, work, play, shop, and eat.What this job involvesIn this newly created role, the Onsite Facilities Officer-Handy person will play a pivotal role in providing our Government client with a professional, responsive and effective level of service specifically related to various facilities functions within their site based in Melbourne CBD.This role is responsible for the everyday maintenance of the building/s and environment ensuring all operations and maintenance undertaken in the premises conforms with the workplace health and safety legislative requirements and any other relevant legislative requirements applicable to those tasks.A snapshot of the role:General repairs and maintenance of all aspects of the clients property portfolioMinor building work and furniture repairs/alterationsRemove and/or install whiteboards, plaques, signage and screensPatching and painting as requiredBuilding exterior maintenanceSupport the Facilities team in administrative functions, minor works projects and reporting as and when requiredSound like you? This is what we’re looking for:Previous experience in a maintenance roleTrade certification or licence in a relevant field will be highly regardedExperience using hand or power equipmentStrong interpersonal, decision making skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skillsThis role has the responsibility and duty of care to work safely and to protect yours and fellow workers health and safety.
