The Star Gold Coast is where relaxation seamlessly intertwines with thrilling entertainment.As a Sous Chef in our Mei Wei restaurant, you will support our Chef de Cuisine, Heather Wright and assist with leading the team, always ensuring consistency in high quality product and service standards.A few of your responsibilities:Monitoring of daily operations, payroll, costs, and guest satisfactionParticipate in preparation of menusAssist with rostering and leave applicationsDevelop training plans and support daily learningParticipate in shift briefings to ensure a smooth handoverWhat are we looking for:Senior Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or large restaurantPrevious experience in a high-quality asian food operation (highly regarded)Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learningAbility to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchensPrevious knowledge of food and labour cost controlsA warm, naturally engaging personality that takes pride in delivering a memorable productBasic computer skills essentialFull working rights to commit to 40 hours a week which can include day shifts, evenings, weekend and public holidaysAbout you:With your passion for career growth in Culinary, this role will allow you to work alongside some of the most talented chefs on the Gold Coast!Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of Mei Wei at The Star Gold Coast.
