Grafton Banks Finance are working with a commercial services company with offices in the Eastbourne area to recruit an Accountant on an initial 2–3-month temporary contract. Working full time hours 37.5 a week, hybrid working is on offer 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working in a small friendly finance team as the temporary Accountant you will assist the finance team with a variety of accounting duties, supporting all Company and Group business objectives and service delivery.Duties and Responsibilities will include:To assist the Finance Manager with the preparation and review of monthly group financial statements and associated reports for group reportingPosting of all month end journals, including prepayments and accrualsCompletion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basisProviding monthly P & L reports to Business Units and Stakeholders with commentary and variance analysis.Management and uploading of company prepaid charge cardsVerifying and uploading of company travel supplier statementsMaintenance of company fixed asset register, including additions and monthly depreciationAssist in the preparation of Budgets and ForecastingPreparation of quarterly VAT returnsReview of aged debtors and creditors to ensure no outstanding issuesUploading of daily bank statements on to ERP system for all group companies, including matching of customer receipts and supplier paymentsReconciliation of all bank accounts on a daily basisPreparation of sales invoices as requiredPreparation of cost recharge invoices to group companies when requiredReconciliation of key vendor monthly statements to ensure that all costs are correctly included within the financial recordsSet up of new user profiles on ERP systemHoliday cover for other members of the team as requiredKey Skills required for this Temporary Job Opportunity:Previous practical working experience in a busy finance function ( ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Qualified by Experienced)Successful track record of finance experience in industry desirableAbility to learn quickly, and stand on own two feetProven record of meeting tight deadlines with high attention to detail.Previously worked in a fast-paced environmentTeam player and good communicator (verbal and written)Proficient in MS Office (advanced Excel particularly VLOOKUP and Pivot tables)Due to the initial temporary nature of this job offering.
