PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:OUR IMPACTClient On-boarding is a key function performed at the forefront of the firm’s commercial aspirations. We work hand in hand with the PWM Sales teams in providing a best in class on boarding experience for new clients. Client On-boarding is responsible for capturing all necessary information for regulatory and firm policies and perform due diligence on all new accounts and works closely with PWM business teams, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal, and other Operations groups to ensure a positive client experience during the on-boarding process. Our ability to partner in this role is key and therefore a significant skill-set for this role is stakeholder management.The Asset Transfer Team serves a critical role in overseeing transfers into and out of our client accounts. The team works with PWM business teams to monitor and approve asset transfers. The team authenticates client transfer requests in accordance with the Firm-wide and regulatory policies as well as ensuring the proper client approvals and documentation have been received while constantly monitoring for potential fraudulent activity.Please note that as this role will require access to Firm confidential information, you will be expected to undergo a criminal background check if you are made an offer of employment.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALDevelop relationships with PWM business teams, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal, and other Operations groups to ensure that PWM Operations is providing the highest quality introductory experience throughout the on boarding processEnsure that all client documentation required by the Firm’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) is received, reviewed and approved within the appropriate time-frames in line with AML and Know Your Client requirementsEnsure downstream systems correctly recognize approved clients, products and services, including Cash products, Client Statement and Performance reportingReview relevant client and Legal documentation, verify client signatures and perform regulatory and risk related exception processingResolve issues through coordination with PWM business, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal and other Operations teamsWork with various teams, including the PWM business and Operations, on process improvement and strategic projectsSKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FORBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degreeKnowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as proficiency with web-based applicationsGood understanding of the financial industry including active interest in financial services and OperationsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to build the trust and confidence in capabilities, work well with others internally to accomplish client objectivesMust be a team player, hardworking, resourceful and eager to learnMust be able to multi-task, prioritize work, and work well under pressure from multiple clients/constituents to respond to inquiries quicklyHighly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow through skillProactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership and ability to work independently, to gather information, make decisions and drive resultHighly motivated with enthusiasm to learn the business and the clients we supportDeveloping relationships with PWM business teams, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal, and other Operations groups to ensure that PWM Operations is providing the highest quality introductory experience throughout the on boarding processEnsure that all client documentation required by the Firm’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) is received, reviewed and approved within the appropriate time-frames in line with AML and Know Your Client requirementReview relevant client and Legal documentation, verify client signatures and perform regulatory and risk related exception processingReview relevant client documentation and processing of margin approvalsAuthenticate asset transfer requests leaving client accounts by liaising directly and indirectly with PWM ClientsProcess and control analysis to ensure effective oversight and risk management including the adherence to and enforcement of Firm-wide policy and relevant regulationsEnsure downstream systems correctly recognize approved clients, products and services, including Cash products, Client Statement and Performance reportingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ years financial industry experience (AML or other Client On-boarding Regulatory experience a plus)Knowledge of legal documentation (e.g. trust agreements, partnership agreements and corporate resolutions)Foreign language skills a plus (preferably German)ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS:ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
