Located 15 minutes south of Launceston, Tasmania's northern capital, Longford is the gateway to some of the world's most famous and picturesque trout fishing in Australia. The Longford region is predominantly agricultural, noted for wool, dairy produce, and stock breeding. With its high rainfall and cold winters, it's a perfect environment for growing pasture-fed cattle.Longford's complex medium sized fully integrated processing facility produces a range of grass and grain fed beef products under brands such as King Island Beef, Red Gum, Great Southern, Pinnacle and Little Joes.JBS Longford exports to over 30 countries around the world including Brazil, China, Switzerland, and the EU. Longford's plant employs approximately 300 team members with a current processing capacity of 550 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days a week.About the Role:JBS Australia is Australia's largest and most respected meat packer, marketer and exporter, supplying the finest grain fed and pasture fed meats to export and domestic customers for more than 20 years.An exciting opportunity exists at our Longford Plant for experienced Skilled Meat Workers.
