The Cordelia Street location provides transitional housing and long-term housing, with referrals received from Department of Housing. This position will provide holistic support throughout all facets of the client journey, an inherent requirement of this role is to provide case management that focuses on client needs and fosters client capacity toward independence.A key outcome of this position is to assist in enabling clients to reconnect with their community by providing information and referral advice within the context of approved case management plans.This position is available as we have received new funding. This is a fixed-term (until 30/06/2026) full-time position (38 hours per week) based in South Brisbane. This is a Monday-to-Friday role - with shifts between 8 am and 8 pm. Operating within the program Service Agreement, you may be required to perform shift work including afternoon, night and weekend work if applicable to your program.Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:Tertiary Qualification in the Social Sciences, Social Work, or similar community services field and/or demonstrated experience in working in the community services sector.Experience in the provision of services to people with complex issues including homelessness, disability, mental health, trauma and domestic family violence.Demonstrated understanding of existing of existing public, private and community housing pathways for people in housing crisis.Experience working with families and children is desirable.Previous experience in case management within the program area of operation.Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the delivery of case management and safety and risk within the program area of operation.Personal aptitude for working within set guidelines and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills including the ability to exercise judgement and contribute to a team environment.Ability to deliver advocacy on behalf of clients and ensure confidentiality of client information at all times.Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.Current Blue Card is required.Ready to apply?
