Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00. Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/2024.The purpose of the role is to complete to the required quality standards, the analysis of samples for water chemistry environmental methods using appropriate techniques. Performing, registration, preparation and sample splitting duties.Main DutiesSample collection from the various sample drop off points in the laboratory, arrange and sort them and register the samples in the Laboratory information management system. (Full training will be provided)Prepare, extract and analyse samples in accordance with standards of quality and the requirements of ISO17025.Preparation of calibration and quality standards to check method and instrument performance.Reporting and / or calculation of results in accordance with methods of analysis.Plotting and acting upon quality control data produced per batch.Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.Maintain turnaround time at >95%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.Maintain stock levels of consumable items for methods being undertaken.Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.QualificationsMaths and English at GCSE C or above or equivalent.Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook.Excellent communication and organisational skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAdditional InformationBenefitsAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
