A critical thinker who thrives in the face of unpredictability, conflicting instructions, and multiple demands, you enjoy solving complex problems, and your enthusiasm drives you to achieve your goals.As the Accountant, you are part of the Sales and Supply Chain Accounting Team, focusing on Lumber & Pulp Sales and Distribution accounting and reporting. You will guide the flow of pulp-finished goods, from mills to customers, and will improve accounting processes through the ERP platform. Your collaborative efforts with the team will make you an expert in sales and distribution. Additionally, you'll actively engage with other teams to enhance ERP utilization and gain a deep understanding of system and product flows.A day in the life of the Accountant includes:Sales Accounting and ReportingSupport the team in month-end sales accounting close and reporting, including preparing and posting various journal entriesProvide support with lumber inventory and pulp sales costing, customer rebate and commission reconciling and reporting, bank reconciliations.Perform month-end sales accounting and reporting tasks, including sub-ledgers and ledgers associated with our Offshore China, Japan, and Korea sales offices.Prepare external statistical reportsUtilize the understanding of ERP systems and business processes to identify and solve issues by working in collaboration with cross-functional resourcesProvide support to other members of the sales accounting teamStreamline processes, assist in documenting all standard work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve continuous improvementSystem Enhancement & Business TransformationSupport system enhancement by participating in the testing and providing feedback in the areas related to the accounting of Internal and External revenue and expenses, transfer pricing, customer rebates, agent commissions, commission sales, etc.For this role, come equipped with:Experience working with medium to large-sized companiesWorking knowledge of ERP systemsAdvanced computer, MS Excel, and other MS Office application skillsIn a perfect world, you have a University or College degree in business or an equivalent level of education and experience.
