Start your path to a WGNSTAR career today!Schedule: Compressed work weeks, days or nights available (10% night-shift differential)Pay Rate: $23 Hourly DOELocation: Boise, IDThis position is open to local candidates only.The principal duties and responsibilities will be:Function as ERT Captain to lead the safe conclusion and documentation of unplanned eventsProvide medical care and documentation, and inspect emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, SCBA and Safety Showers to ensure they are ready for usePerform safety walkthroughs to identify and correct unsafe conditionsConduct safety technician tasks such as light and sound level surveys, respirator fit tests and coordinates fire drillsRun small safety related projects such as ERT training development and deliveryDevelop and maintain department procedures and carry out company, department, and area policies.Requirements:High School diploma / GEDMedical Responder with EMT LicenseAbility to become certified as a Confined Space Rescue Team Member and ERT Incident Commander level responder (including SCBA)Medical responder with EMT licenseValid driver’s licenseStrong verbal and written communication skillsHas working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsDemonstrates professionalism and pride in workDemonstrates skills in handling confrontational situations, problem solving and command presence, as well as be a team playerPhysical Effort/Activities:May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
