Manager, Freedom of Information and PrivacyOffers challenge, variety and flexibilityOpportunity to join a high-achieving team with a great collaborative working culture$130,673 - $174,869 (plus superannuation)Ongoing roleUsual work location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)We are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Freedom of Information and Privacy to join our team at the Victorian Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.About the roleThis position leads the Freedom of Information and Privacy team in the Public and Administrative Law unit of the Legal and Legislation Branch. The Branch's role is to provide high quality legal and legislative advice and services on a broad range of matters across the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions. There is always a great variety of interesting work. The Department covers a diverse range of portfolios, including:Jobs and Industry;Creative Industries;Medical Research;Tourism, Sport and Major Events;Outdoor Recreation;Economic Growth;Community Sport;Small Business;Skills and TAFE;Regional Development; andEmployment.Our FOI and Privacy Officers ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic) (the FOI Act) and the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) (the Privacy Act) by providing timely, expert and authoritative advice on complex information requests.The successful applicant will lead a small high performing team that values excellence, collaboration, and supporting one another.
