Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionSearching for a Laboratory Manager to oversee all operations at our Shepparton site, providing technical support and ensuring operational results align with SGS EHS service and quality agreements.Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:Ensuring all Quality and Safety Objectives are met.Serving as the NATA signatory for laboratory accreditations and ensuring qualifications meet NATA requirements.Motivating and leading staff, communicating business direction and goals, and serving as a role model.Technical mentoring and direction as required.General Administration (emailing documents, registering of samples etc).Communication with all stakeholders, including clients, regarding samples received or planned.Ensure all samples are free of contaminants during log-in and sub-sampling process.Maintaining adequate stocks of consumables and clean / organised work area.Maintain and manage price lists, contracts and client plans.Proactively keep in touch with the client base to strengthen relationships and ensure retention.Report key client issues to the operations as appropriate.Attend regular GVW meetings for performance reviews, resolution of conflicts, delivery of invoices and reports.QualificationsCommercial laboratory operations and management experience.Appropriate tertiary qualification (preferred).Current drivers licenceExcellent computer skillsProblem solving skillsAdditional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
