Tokamak Energy are currently looking for a Graduate Buyer to join the indirect procurement team in and exciting and growing R&D and commercial environment. This role is for someone wanting to kick start a procurement career or take next steps to obtain MCIPS.Supporting the wider Tokamak Energy team, this role has been created to deliver its current and future objectives whilst developing the role holder into a procurement professional. This will be a diverse role, suiting a flexible delivery focused individual who would relish developing and applying a diverse breadth of Procurement knowledge and skills.Focussing on Indirect Procurement activities across HR, Premises, IT and Brand the role holder will need to build close collaborations with stakeholders within Tokamak Energy. Although initially focus will be on Indirect spend there can also be the opportunities to gain experience in direct project procurement activities.In this role, you will:Delivery of Procurement activitiesManaging the placing and chasing or Purchase orders in line with company procedures, with regular communication to the end user.Obtaining competitive quotations, where expected spend and timelines allow.Working collaboratively with various departments to understand the procurement activities in such area.Developing Procurement plans and sourcing strategies for these areas.Introducing suitable new suppliers to improve delivery, quality and valueDealing with the administrative work involved in procurement including Purchase Order management, supply issues and invoice queries.Review suppliers spend portfolio to seek future savings opportunitiesWork on ad-hoc procurement projects as the company requiresRequirementsHigh level of attention to detail and well organisedWorks well within a teamExcellent communication skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloadFlexible individual who can adjust to an agile environmentProactive, methodical, practical and persistentAble to work well under pressureMicrosoft Office suite proficientWants to work towards MCIPSBenefitsSalary dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset28 days (inclusive of festive break) holiday plus bank holidaysEligible for discretionary performance related bonusShare options schemePension schemeFinancial benefits – including; group life insurance, critical illness, health cash plan and discount schemeInnovation and Merit bonusesInvestment in training and development to support career progressionOpportunity to work on and contribute to world class innovationAbout UsWhat if there was a limitless, safe, clean, low-cost energy source, providing much needed global energy security?
