Recognized for our entrepreneurial approach for over 65 years, our team of over 25,000 employees takes an ownership mindset, collaborating with customers to redefine what's possible.Position Title: Operations ManagerThe Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing operations of the Site including production, machining, maintenance and processing departments. As a member of the management team, participates in the development of the short and long term strategy and its deployment of operational systems.Essential Responsibilities:Responsible for overall performance of manufacturing operations, including but not limited to the following functions: Production, Materials, Facilities / Maintenance, Quality Assurance & Control, Supply Chain and Engineering.Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of PSG business – specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, annual budgeting and planning process for operations annual budget.Drives cross-functional processes to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction, employee engagement and overall business performance.Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.Drive LEAN and other continuous improvement projects in PSG Australia to improve overall operation performance.Organizing, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive program management regimen that meets customer expectations, and monitoring the project management system in practice.Work in close cooperation with Sales and Product Management to develop and manage forecasts for long range supply planning while considering current inventory, lead times and product cost.Direct annual budgeting and planning process for operations annual budgets and department budgets to align with the annual business objectives.Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of operations financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.Manages activities related to manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, documentation control and support Environmental, Health and Safety for the operation.Attract, Develop and Retain Operations talent to increase operational bench strength and provide career growth opportunities within the PSG organization.Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe working environment and must observe all company rules and regulations including safety, use of personal protective equipment and quality of work.Performs all other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field5+ years’ experience working in a leadership role.8+ years’ experience working in manufacturing industry.Strong background and work experience in LEAN Manufacturing and Operational Excellence.Solid analytics and understanding of financial statement analysis and financial modeling.Proven ability to simultaneously project, manage multiple high impact projects; short and long term goal planning.Solid understanding of finance, operation management (cost and asset management), manufacturing resource planning/people development, materials procurement, product costing, inventories management and quality operating system.Work Arrangement : OnsiteWe consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
