If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place!Your Role...Within the Financial Planning and Controlling unit, the financial controller will have the primary responsibilities to:Act as a Financial Business Partner for a dedicated internal user group / entity, to establish a strong interface and collaborative relationship with the relevant teamsContribute to the development and implementation of relevant Finance practices in line with the University / entity operating model and needsAnalyze, develop, and maintain financial systems, instruments and procedures for own area while considering the needs of the organizationAdvise the management and decision makers on financial, execution and performanceProvide financial analysis, deliver accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information that enhances / support plan and management decision makingDevelop and maintain financial databases and ensure availability of relevant and structured (financial) information in the databasePrepare the budget, the forecasts and report on variancesConsolidate data, in line with the entity / department strategy and within financial and reporting guidelinesUnderstand and adapt to the specific requirements from the diverse University Units / departmentsEnsure financial transactions and reporting quality control, and compliance with internal policies and proceduresContribute to month-end / year-end processContribute to maintain strong internal controls by developing, documenting and updating business processes and accounting policiesProvide ad hoc reporting, requests, and projectsCo-develop project proposals, including budgets, deadlines and planning, and monitor realization of projectsWhat we expect from you…Master's degree in at least one of the following: Economics, Finance, Accounting or any similar field5-8 years of relevant work experience in a similar position and at least 10 years of working experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
