DescriptionHealth and Safety OfficerScarborough$80,000-90,000Permanent RolePerks:-Benefits-Paid time offDuties:Lead the Safety strategy, promote and lead all training that directly contributes to risk reduction and continued development of the caring culture of safety.Continually monitor the effectiveness of the Occupational Health & Safety program and evaluate against expectations and outcomes.Facilitates and supports the development of internal responsibility via oversight of incident reporting, investigations, and inspections.Identify and implement operational health and safety best practice solutions.Research and ensure approval of PPE and Equipment Guarding for manufacturing purposes.Manages WHMIS/SDS database and internal inventory of products.Assets:University Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.JHSC 1 and 2 must be activeMust have excellent communication skills (verbal/written)3-5 years of experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations in an industrial environmentDemonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety principles, best practices and regulations, policies, and proceduresAppleOne
