Deliver advanced audiology services for neonatal/paediatric diagnostics, lead Paediatric Audiology Diagnostic Services, and drive strategic objectives at HHS and state levels.Job details Position status PermanentPosition type Part-timeOccupational group Health - Allied Health/Clinical SupportClassification HP5Workplace Location Brisbane - NorthJob ad reference QLD/579088Closing date 31-Jul-2024Yearly salaryFortnightly salaryTotal remunerationSalary OtherJob durationContact person Stacey RandContact details (07) 5316 5775Access theAbout the roleDeliver advanced level evidence-based audiology clinical and consultancy services within the outpatient setting at Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate with specific emphasis on the provision of services within the specialist clinical areas of Healthy Hearing (neonatal / paediatric diagnostic audiology), paediatric ENT and the provision of specialist paediatric diagnostic assessments more broadly.Provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight of the Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate Paediatric Audiology Diagnostic Service to coordinate the delivery of clinical services and maintain clinical excellence and high standards of care.Develop and drive the strategic objectives of neonatal and paediatric diagnostic audiology at both a HHS level and state level under the leadership of the Director of Speech Pathology and Audiology.About youThis successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values:Independently apply advanced level clinical expertise, specialised techniques and professional judgement to complex caseload with specific emphasis in the clinical areas of neonatal and paediatric diagnostic audiology – Healthy Hearing (neonatal / paediatric diagnostic audiology), ENT, and outpatient clinics.Professionally lead the delivery, and manage the quality of, clinical services within the diagnostic service and provide advanced level clinical advice to health practitioners within, the service, Metro North Health Service, and on a state-wide basis as required.Work cooperatively and engage in effective communications with clinical service providers, service managers and clinical team leaders to facilitate early access to paediatric audiology and other diagnostic services and support effective service delivery, appropriate discharge, good clinical outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.Provide specialist clinical advice regarding audiology to clinical service providers, service managers and health care consumers making key contributions to cross-discipline planning, delivery and evaluation of clinical services.Actively pursue further relevant professional development and take a lead role in the development and delivery of relevant competency training and skill development programs targeted at less experienced audiologists and assistant staff; pre-entry audiology student placements; and education programs for other professionals, patients, and their families/carers.Health EquityIt is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to health care; influencing the social, cultural and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognise the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review the health and support services we provide.Benefits when working for usRewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areasValue driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balanceFlexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increasesBenefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packagingBe part of a world-class, dynamic and growing health service that embraces technology and innovation, excellence in healthcare, quality teaching and cutting edge research.
