Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Coordinator will develop, manage, and administer security-based systems, ensuring compliance and functionality at all times.Responsibilities:Fire and life-safety systems, ensure best practice and compliance relating to health and Safety and Fire Safety legislationMonitor CCTV cameras as requiredAccess control, maintenance of all security records and logsDeveloping schedule rosters, duty rotations, and administrative systems for staffingAct as a fire safety director to the MuseumSupervise security staffInvestigate accidents, recommend solutionsManage contract for agency security provision to ensure that service provided is in line with standards and requirements set out in service level agreementCollaborate with other museum staff to ensure artwork protectionAct as Security Manager to cover management duties for special eventsRequirements and QualificationsB.A.; 3+ years supervisory experience in Security fieldNYS Training; Security and Fire Safety Director LicenseExcellent communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with all staff at a premier NYC cultural institutionFlexible hours, including regular evenings and weekends requiredCompensation & Benefits:Compensation rate of $55,000 per annumMedical, Dental, Vision, 403(B) electionsGenerous PTO benefitsCommuter benefits - parking and mass transitAdmission to world-renowned museums across the city and nationallyPet insurance and discounted membership for CitibikeThe advertised pay rate is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee.
