Job Title: Staff Software Engineer RoboticsLocation: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices.Why Telos Health?At Telos Health we are developing novel robotic-assisted technologies and interventional capabilities that will forever change the disparate outcomes of ischemic stroke – a disease that impacts close to a million people a year in the U.S., and 10 million worldwide. We are actively building a team who is focused on developing novel solutions for this complex disease – a disease in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime.What You’ll Do:We are looking for a talented and experienced Robotics Software Engineer to design and implement hard real-time algorithms, application logic, and state machines for the Telos robotic platform. As one of the key founding members of the telos team, you will contribute to the design and development of the infrastructure of the robotics application-level logic and algorithms. You will work closely with a cross functional team to implement and test logic, algorithms and software solutions based on clinical and user requirements.Core Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and test logic, state machines, and algorithms for our robotic platformImplement C++ real-time code on QNX and Linux based operating systemsImplement and test solutions in production software environment using C++ and PythonWork closely with other engineers (software, controls, system, hardware) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for a medical application.Understand user needs, clinical needs & customer input requirements to drive software developmentContribute to development of the software testing and simulation environmentParticipate in design discussions and code reviewsWhat You’ll Bring:BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and 6+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience5+ years of controls, robotics, and state-machine experienceProficiency with C++ and PythonExperience in robotic control, real-time state-machine designStrong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patternsExperience with multi-threaded applications and event driven architecturesExperience in algorithm development for robotics operationExcellent communication and documentation skillsDesired KnowledgeExperience with real-time software applicationsExperience developing software for safety-critical applicationsExperience with ROSExperience with QNXExperience working in an Agile development environmentEmployee Benefits include a stake in our collective success with stock options, competitive salaries, a 401k plan, health benefits, generous PTO, and a parental leave program.Join Us!Salary Range: $187,000 – 207,000 annuallyPlease note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
