Our customers are central to everything we do and we work hard to support them to turn challenges into opportunities which make our customers' property ambitions a reality.We’re looking for great people from all backgrounds and experiences who love working together and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do – and that starts with our brilliantly different team of people.Job DescriptionAs a Tax Specialist, you will be involved in all tax-related matters within the Group, including maintaining and managing the Group’s tax policies, procedures, documentation and running tax related initiatives, such as large R&D claims or new Tax policy approaches.You will be responsible for escalating and resolving any tax compliance deficiencies or incidents they may discover or be alerted to, as well as seeking advice on new situations to ensure compliance with current legislation.You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations, including supporting the Group Financial Director under the SAO regime.As a Tax Specialist, we are looking for someone to:Manage and coordinate all aspects of the outsourced corporation tax compliance, including preparation of supporting information and review of tax returnsManage VAT compliance activities, including preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filingAssist in the process of identifying and assessing R&D tax relief opportunities, working closely with external advisors and relevant departments to gather necessary information and documentationConduct tax planning and horizon scanning to anticipate and minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's overall tax positionStay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure complianceProvide expert tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, treasury, and senior management teamsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authoritiesAssist in the preparation of quarterly tax provisions for financial reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsQualificationsEssentialBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
