Job descriptionColorado Pain Care - Lakewood Clinic is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the team!Position SummaryResponsible for providing safe and effective perioperative care to patients undergoing invasive procedures.Compensation:$105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforming preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, stress test evaluations, cardiac monitoring, vascular monitoring, and health assessmentsPerforming physical exams and health historiesProviding health promotion, counseling, and educationPerforming diagnostic testsAdministering medications, both IV and POObserving and records patient behaviorInterpreting patient information and make critical decisions about needed actionsCoordinating, in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionalsConducting research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes; and participates in continuing educationSupporting unit teams administratively and maintains unit and equipmentEnsuring performance is in compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures to include HIPAA; Health and Safety policies (e.g., OSHA); department policies and procedures, and facility quality standards.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePossess a nursing degree from an accredited program of professional nursingPossess an RN license from the State Board of NursingPossess BLS CertificationPossess ACLS CertificationPossess current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hirePrevious experience in a hospital setting (within past five years) or be a new nursing graduate (within last two years)Working knowledge of the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing careExcellent interpersonal skills and demeanorEffective oral, written, and listening communication skills.Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in high-pressure situationsSkilled in the use of several machines and special equipment including Patient Monitors, Post-Operative Appliances, Medical Chairs or Stretchers, Positioning Equipment.Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to assess treatment and care for specific patient populations (i.e., neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics); and to understand and react effectively to their unique needsAbility to work both independently managing multiple projects, as well as collaboratively with others to achieve common goalsAbility to achieve results in a team-oriented environmentAbility to identify and proactively solve problemsAbility to thrive in a patient-focused environmentAbility to organizes on a continuum due to the changing status of the patients and the environmentAbility to properly and efficiently administer IVsAbility to demonstrate Pain Doctor’s core values and performance principles of leadership, integrity, kindness, excellence, and servicePhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
