This is an exciting time to join NRW Civil and Mining as we are now seeking an experienced HSE Superintendent for our Karara Mining Project. In this role you will provide support and services associated with health, safety and environment to the Project Manager and Operational team on the project. You will drive continuous improvement and have a strong understanding of the WHS Act and Mines Regulations along with coordinating site based HSE activities to ensure the competence and well-being of people, integrity of equipment and safe handling of materials. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a culture of safety and embed the NRW Safety Management System on the project.To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:Have at least 5-7 years experience in safety including a minimum of 2 years experience in senior safety rolesExperience working in a production mining environment preferably in contract miningLead ICAM Lead Investigator Course with experience in facilitating investigations with key stakeholders across the businessExperience in Critical Risk Management is desirableStrong experience in implementing and maintaining Safety Management SystemsDiploma in Occupational Health & SafetyStrong leadership skills with an ability to influence project teamsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsComputer LiteracyAs a HSE Superintendent on our site; you will be responsible for but not limited to:Provide governance and direction to HSET personnel on siteDevelop and implement key health and safety documents including development and review of key management plansProvide technical advice, support and coaching to the management team and play a key guidance role in coaching and mentoringLiaise with the various departments on HSET matters as requiredImplement Critical Risk Management (CRM) principles in health and safety systems and processes and coach all levels of the site in their applicationConduct internal health and safety audits and inspectionsFacilitate incident investigations (ICAM) to identify root causes and corrective actionsEnsure all core health and safety training and competency requirements are identified, communicated, recorded and managed including training matrices and systemsAssist in the delivery of health and safety training across the siteLiaise with subcontractors regarding safety and health mattersAbout the Opportunity:Excellent Salaries and ConditionsFIFO - Short Commute from PerthFamily Friendly Roster – 8:6High Quality Amenities OnsiteIncome Protection InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounted Private Health InsuranceSalary Sacrifice OptionsCompany Paid Parental LeaveLong Term Opportunities and Career ProgressionNRW is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we strongly support diversity in our workforce.
