Collectively we make the impossible possible.Recognised for delivering projects of global and national significance that help keep Australia safe, it is our shared passion that shapes our culture, and our people that make it a great place to work.About the OPPORTUNITYWe have an exciting opportunity for a Detail Scheduler to join our Maritime business based in Osborne, SA.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.The Detail Scheduler is responsible for development and maintenance of the test and maintenance schedules.Key activities:Development and maintenance of the ships maintenance schedules, including integration of schedule/s into the integrated master scheduleMonitor progress, analyse and report on the schedules to both internal and external customers.Development and analysis of schedules to determine the commissioning paths.Development and assignment of budgets based on allocation of business norms and assistance in aligning project budgets via the BCR process.Engage and communicate with stakeholders on the project including eternal stakeholders where requiredIdentification of process improvementAbout YOUTrade or engineering qualification with extensive experience working in a complex engineering or manufacturing environmentKnowledge and effective use of planning and scheduling processes, systems and toolsStrong problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multi task simultaneously within a production environmentDemonstrated superior communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levelsDemonstrated professional integrity, advanced level of technical knowledge, objectivity, acceptance of responsibility, maturity of judgementDesire to seek and share good practice and knowledge locally to continuously improve own practices whilst improving safety on the worksiteSelf-motivated and proactive to support working autonomously diagnosing production issues, developing solutions and ensuring issues are driven to closurePossess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate defence security clearance and eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR)regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
