RegNet is a dynamic community of scholars from different disciplines united by our interest in governance and regulation. For the last 20 years, RegNet has focused on improving the governance of major social, environmental, economic, and health issues by developing new ways of understanding and responding to these complex problems. CAP leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region. The College hosts the largest number of regional experts and specialist academic programs in the English-speaking world, and plays a vital role in informing public policy and Australia's intellectual engagement with the societies, cultures and economies of Asia and the Pacific.About the opportunitiesWe are seeking a talented and energetic scholar to join the new ARC Laureate Fellowship team working in the Planetary Health Equity Hothouse. The ARC Laureate Fellowship integrates health, social equity and climate change agendas through the lens of planetary health equity; examines the political economy of the global consumptogenic system, studies the interests, ideas, and institutions involved in governing planetary health equity, and identifies innovative governance approaches to enable the development of intersectoral policy and business practices that advance planetary health equity. Ultimately, the Laureate aims to understand how to address the political, commercial and social determinants of planetary health equity.The Research Fellow will join a small, collegial, and dedicated team of outstanding interdisciplinary researchers, PhD students and visiting fellows. The Candidate will work closely with the ARC Laureate Fellow, Professor Sharon Friel, work as part of the Hothouse team, and alongside other ARCHE, RegNet and ANU colleagues.Our Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will have a PhD degree combining political studies and population health, with relevant research experience in the social/commercial/planetary determinants of health equity. You will have demonstrated experience in conducting original research, scholarly writing/publications, and project management. You will be fully proficient in software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Endnote, NVivo and Twitter.
