The Registered midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Registered Midwife will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Competency Standards. Further to this the Registered Midwife will align their professional conduct with those of the NSW Health CORE Values.Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital is a busy acute care facility with 211 beds, which provides emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services to around 22,000 patients each year. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit and also provides Emergency Department services.As well as these clinical services, Shoalhaven Hospital has a Level 3 Maternity Service, with approximately 800 births per year, alongside a 12-bed Children’s Ward and a 6-bed Special Care Nursery.Our Maternity Services is not just a place to work; it's a dynamic and supportive environment that offers professional, personal, and career development.
