About The RoleOur Wireless and Special Coverage Solutions team within our Telecommunications division are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee on-site construction activities, managing construction crews, subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.This role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, schedulers and other stakeholders to plan and execute construction projects, monitoring progress, resolving issues, establishing effective project controls, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process.This role will be located in Sydney NSW.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Managers, Subcontractors and Engineering teams to develop construction plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.Manage project schedules, identifying critical path activities and adjusting schedules and escalating as required.Estimate project costs accurately and track expenses and manage cost variances against budget as required.Plan and schedule field resources (internal workforce & subcontractors) to deliver the construction activities incl. defects.Optimise resource utilisation, and minimise downtime, delays, and cost overruns.Organise equipment, and materials to support construction activities.Provide on-site supervision and leadership to FMs, construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements.Monitor progress against project plans.Ensure timely delivery of project milestones incl. closing out defects for on-time client payment.Build a strong high performing team, aligned to our purpose and enterprise strategic objectives.About You:Ideally you will hold relevant qualifications to the position with experience working as a Construction Manager within the Telecommunications / Construction industry and also possess:Proven experience in construction scheduling/planning with proficiency in PM tools & methodologies.Strong analytical & Problem-Solving skills to analyse performance metrics and mitigate schedule risks.Experience in managing large, geographically dispersed teams and conflict resolutionUnderstanding building codes, and OSHA regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.Strong understanding of construction principles, techniques, and materials.Ability to interpret and implement architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.Excellent relationship management and engagement with clients.What We Offer YouNot only do we offer a competitive salary and career growth, we have also partnered with some reputable organisations to be able to offer discounts on Health Insurance, Banking (new home loans, credit cards, everyday bank accounts), flights & accommodation, car hire, car leasing and much more.How to ApplyClick the apply now and you will be redirected to our careers page to register your details.Position Reference Number:158899Ventia
