Description:
We are Lockheed Martin
The story of aviation has always been the story of people who have the perseverance to fail, to try again and to one day succeed. Since Lockheed Martin’s inception and continuing today, the passion to advance aeronautical design and help our customers achieve mission results has been ingrained in our culture. It is that passion combined with a strategic focus on ever changing global opportunities that shapes our path forward.
THIS POSITION IS FOR 2ND SHIFT.
The F-35 is designed with the entire battlespace in mind, bringing new flexibility and capability to the United States and its allies. Reliance on any single capability — electronic attack, stealth, etc. — is not sufficient for success and survivability in the future. Missions traditionally performed by specialized aircraft — air-to-air combat, air-to-ground strikes, electronic attack, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance — can now be executed by a squadron of F-35s.
F35 Aircraft Mate/ Forward Fuselage Manufacturing Engineer will directly support primarily the FWD production team and the Mate production team.
Selected Candidate will be required to:
- Perform floor support to solve immediate production constraints.
- Develop corrective actions to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
- Update the manufacturing plan
- Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes
- Perform QAR corrective action
- Create cost reduction initiatives
- Other Manufacturing Engineering standard work (Tool Trial Runs, Work Around Plans, etc.).
