Job DescriptionManager AML/KYC – CCA295We are partnering with a new specialist institutional banking group that serves the global asset management industry. Offering a full suite of services and driven by cutting-edge technology they are a key player in the alternative asset management industry.They are now investing in a European expansion with Luxembourg chosen as their headquarters. Their license application is now advanced and they are scheduling a full launch of operations during Q1 2025.Greenfield has been mandated as their exclusive local partner in their efforts to rapidly build their Luxembourg team during the coming months.We are mandated to identify a Manager AML/KYC who will be one of the lead parties ensuring a successful onboarding with new clients of the bank. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive, flexibly minded and determined individual. You will be both regulatory and business minded and will enjoy the pressures of being in a first line management role.At its core this is a value creating role; there is the clear desire for the incumbent to play an active and integral role in the organisation’s capacity to roll out its Luxembourg operations.Context:The Manager is part of the Client Onboarding department and reports to the Head of Client Onboarding. This role is accountable to ensure the optimal functioning of the KYC/AML team and will be the driving the development and implementation of the KYC/AML control environment.The Role:Define operational priorities, set objectives and deadlines for the team and organise workflow optimally.Ensure the proper completion of tasks (quality and deadline) and the achievement of objectives via KPIs;Provide support, leadership and technical expertise to the team;Responsible for the reviewing of KYC documentation for existing and new investor accounts.Carry out the classification of the accounts in the different risk categories using the agreed risk-based approach.Ensure the proper recording of the review findings in AML database as well as the proper retention of all documentation both in physical and electronic formatWork closely with the BD and CS functions to ensure a smooth onboarding of clientsEstablish positive and constructive relationships within the team and department as well as and other teams/departments;Develop team spirit, lead and motivate employees and support them in their career trajectoryMentor and train new and existing employees ensuring that they develop their hard and soft skills.The Profile:Minimum 8 years of professional experience in AML/KYC within new client operations. Ideally you will have 3+ years of team management.Strong understanding of Luxembourg regulatory requirements imposed by both supervisory authorities (CSSF, CAA, AED) and by self-regulatory bodies (IRE, OEC)Strong operational skills and ability to translate requirements into operational actionsYou will have excellent communication skills both orally and in written.Pro-active with a positive approach and result driven.You are flexible and dynamic in your approach to work and can cope with shifting priorities and challenges.A confident self-starter who understands the importance of team cooperationBe a positive influencer to both interdepartmental colleagues as well as to leadership.Fluency in English, both written and spoken; other European languages, French and/or German proficiency would be a definite advantageGreenfield is a leading Luxembourg based Recruitment and Executive Search Consultancy and has been selected exclusively to fulfill this mandate.Jobs.lu
