The Fisher Project is a comprehensive suicide prevention and recovery support program for those at an increased risk for suicide. Supervised Peer Support Case Managers provide assessment, prevention, and evaluation tools to reduce suicide. Case Managers also offer support that assists clients in addressing life stressors and other social determinants that can increase thoughts of suicide.Description:The Marketing Coordinator is tasked with recruiting new referral sources in Region 6 (Rapides Parish) to the Fisher Project. With few resources available, the Fisher project can be a resource in these communities for individuals who are at risk of suicide or experiencing ideations. Sixteen (16) organizations/corporations have already been identified by the Rapides Foundation as initial targets. This position is grant-funded for three (3) years.Responsibilities: * Establish a communication series protocol, including collateral materialsFocus exclusively on outreach, marketing, and education on the Fisher ProjectPromote the Fisher Project to applicable healthcare facilities through regular in-person visits and systematic follow-upRecruit organizations to participate in the suicide prevention program and build patient (client) referrals from identified healthcare organizations within the Foundation's nine parish service areas.Attend behavioral health and other gatherings in the 9-parish area to promote the Fisher ProjectAttend Fisher Project staff meetings virtuallyAttend trainings in Baton Rouge and around the state as neededAccountability:The Fisher Project Marketing Coordinator works under the Executive Director or other supervisor as directed by the Executive Director.Position/Hours:The Marketing Coordinator will be a contract (1099) position with no benefits or paid time off. The position is 20 hours weekly, and the schedule is flexible during the traditional workday. The coordinator will work from home and travel the required distance, including to Baton Rouge (LAMHA headquarters).Qualifications:The Fisher Project Marketing Coordinator must reside and work in Region VI (Central Louisiana). The Marketing Coordinator should have a track record of marketing and communications positions and be able to discuss successful marketing campaigns.
