The Cook II is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the patient menu. The Cook II is also responsible for following: cost control procedures, safe food handling procedures, therapeutic, allergy and menu standards, and providing overall customer service according to departmental standards. Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Grade 12 or equivalent requiredRecognized Food Safety and Sanitation Course required or willingness to obtain within six (6) monthsOne (1) year related experience requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skills including ability to follow written and oral instructions requiredDemonstrated ability to work effectively with other in a team environmentDemonstrated organization and prioritization skills and ability to work under pressures of time limitationsPhysical capability to perform duties of position including heavy lifting, withstanding demands of walking and standing during shift, working in an environment with heat and temperature fluctuations, as well as the ability to work weekend and rotating shifts as assignedAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this positionCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursTemporary Part-Time Long Assignment, 50%; 37.5 Hours Bi-WeeklyCompensation and Incentives$21.59-23.99 HourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
