Join Johnston Equipment as a Road Service Technician.As the Road Service Technician, you will be conducting maintenance checks and diagnosing repairs for lift trucks and carousels at customer sites.How You’ll Make an ImpactYou will be responsible for the overall operational integrity and condition of trucks with the following responsibilities:Examine overall operational integrity and condition of the trucksFind defective or worn out mechanical or electrical parts then communicating and executing next steps for repair solutions to the customerPerform scheduled preventative maintenance.Diagnose and order parts according to technical manuals.Document and analyze breakdowns based on standard proceduresAs a technician, you are the front line contact between GNJ and the customer, so you are comfortable with client contact as well as being technical savvyWhat You’ll Bring to the TableHigh school completion or equivalent education proficiency and/or minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent related experience.Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipmentMust have a Truck and Coach 310S Certification or Heavy Duty Technician Certification.Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipmentKnowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices, knowledge of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurementsExperience with industrial equipment that involves lifting / rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.Experience aligning above equipment, using dial indicators/calipers, micrometers, hoists or jacks is a plus.Able to interpret and implement technical proceduresSolid knowledge of general Lock-out/Tag-out proceduresStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCustomer service orientedEffective analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment.Possess a valid driver’s licenseWhy You’ll love it hereWe offer a competitive salary, incentive program, and an excellent benefits packageWe trust and support you - take ownership of your work and push your ideas from inception to executionWe want to see you grow - we support your career progression and provide learning and development opportunitiesWhile we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.G.N.
