Job DescriptionThe Fund Accounting Department is responsible for the processing of the daily fund activity, i.e. the final production of the funds’ Net Asset Value (NAV).The funds (mixed funds, money market funds, multi class funds, multi managers funds, , funds of private equities funds, hedge funds…) are composed of a large scope of products i.e. mortgage backed securities, prime brokerage, equities, bonds, futures, interest rates swap, foreign exchange swaps, private equities, syndicated loans,… This variety makes the function very interesting and will provide you with a real enhancement in terms of financial knowledge and experience.In order to support our team, we are looking for a Fund Controller on a permanent contract.Your main tasks will be to:Control and validation of fund's NAV calculation overseeing all aspects of daily, monthly and annual operations for assigned funds, including hedge funds structure (multi-class, derivatives products, performance fees, …)Ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures and controls.Assist the department heads to manage the team (new staff members training, performance appraisals, working planning…) and make recommendations for departmental procedures and processes improvement.Job requirements:Studies in Accounting/FinanceProven track records as a Senior Fund Accountant responsible for the daily review of NAV production or Fund AuditorExtensive accounting knowledge of equity, fixed income and derivative investmentsAbility to plan and prioritize assignmentsGood level of spoken and written English, good knowledge of French considered as an assetAccuracy, pro-activity & professionalGood communication and negotiation skillsRisk control and procedure orientatedGood stress resilienceSetting of priorities and respect of deadlinesTeam spirit, stress resilience, analytical skills as well as problem-solving skills with strong attention to details and organizational skillsAbilities to work on Evening/Night Shift.Please be aware that in accordance with the law of July 23, 2016, the selected candidate is requested to provide a criminal record (section 3)Jobs.lu
