We use Azure and Vmware virtualized environments etc, but you will also support our on-premise data centre, whilst continuing to drive best practice for the adoption of further modern infrastructure delivery techniques.As a Lead Platform Engineer, we are looking for someone to:Provide line management and technical mentoring for Platform Engineering teamsCurate training plans and competency frameworksOwn of hybrid on-premise and cloud technology infrastructureSupport platform engineers to deliver the following services:-Technical support for all existing and new technologies within both cloud and on-premise environmentsImplement, develop and support the desktop, including laptops & tablets, server, SAN and software infrastructure estate ensuring test and role out plans are signed off before implementationMonitor and maintain all environments to ensure agreed system availability , performance and security is maintainedProvide technical knowledge, expertise and consultancy on platform engineering workLifecycle management of technology platformsAnalyse incident trend information to drive change to processes, procedures, systems and servicesQualificationsEssentialManagement of both on premise and cloud infrastructureStrong interpersonal skillsA flexible and adaptable approach to workingExperience of working in an enterprise environmentAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure platforms and toolingExcellent understanding of security and lifecycle managementExperience in management of a Vmware virtualized environmentStrong working knowledge of Backup SystemsStrong understanding of Networking conceptsDesirableUsage of pipelines to manage control of production environments, including usage of Infrastructure as code platformsAdditional InformationBenefits working at Together26 days holiday, and a day off for your birthday (increasing with service to 30 days), plus bank holidaysBuy & sell holidaysDiscretionary annual bonusMatched pension contributionSubsidised on-site restaurant (amazing menus!)Life assuranceCritical illness coverHealth cash planPrivate medical insuranceFree access to company holiday homesTravel season ticket loansRide to work schemeFree local gym accessLocal bar / restaurant discountsTogether Money embraces diversity and inclusion, and are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
