At a glance:

  • Salary range - The budgeted salary range for this role is set at £33,000 - £38,000

  • Contract type - This position is a secondment/fixed term contract until March 2024

  • Location: This role is based full time in The Creative Studios, located @ NW10 7FW (Park Royal). Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the studio is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Shoot Producer to join our in-house Production team based in North West London.

As a Shoot Producer, you are responsible for efficient planning, creation of content and briefs to be used across all platforms and projects, ensuring they are on-brand and balance commercial and creative objectives.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right partner/candidate to work within the Partnerships Creative Studios production team, whilst collaborating with a variety of set designers, set builders, art directors, art buyers, photographers, stylists and content producers to create the highest levels of images predominantly across home & fashion e-com, as well as lifestyle creative shoots.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for interrogating all information on briefings to ensure that the content supports the wider Customer strategy and meets the brand objectives.

  • Manages shoots from beginning to end in a busy Photographic studio and/or location shoots, liaising with a variety of different stakeholders to varied project requirements.

  • Producing cross category imagery used across a variety of different platforms. These all have very varied and specific image requirements that are crucial in delivering to the client/stakeholder. This relies on Production expertise in knowing the specifics.

  • Makes decisions in balancing costs, efficiency, image delivery with commerciality and onbrand as the main focus to ensure creative objectives are met.

  • Uses influence to balance commercial and creative objectives of a brief.

  • Provides clear and effective communication to all key stakeholders, and keeps them informed of progress. Keeps Studio Production & Planning Manager informed throughout the production process.

  • Creates production plans to enable successful set build delivery and image shoot completion to time and brief.

  • Makes sure business KPI’s are met by accurate and timely briefing.

  • Manages all planning in for briefed shoots, engaging freelancers as appropriate on booking and negotiating day rates accordingly.

  • Ensure flow of products to be prepared for the studio /sets for batches of photography and creative shoots to meet required deadlines.

  • Makes recommendations to ensure ways of working achieve optimal efficiency, highest image quality and optimal shot count.

  • Accountable for delivering within budget, identifying potential risks to budget and escalating where necessary to the Studio Production & Planning Manager and communicating this to the relevant Stakeholders.

  • Organises and submits all licensing paperwork for Producing Childrens shoots. Responsible for the efficient delivery and adherence of all regulations for child shoots.

  • Vigorous attention to detail in monitoring children’s shoots to mitigate risk and avoid legal implications.

  • Builds effective relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively to deliver agreed outcomes, notably around the coordination of samples both to shoots, through to supply chain and back to source.

  • Owns the relationship with model agencies, conducts all bookings and negotiating day rates to ensure we stay within budget.

  • Brief the Photography and Post Production teams on shoot requirements and target completion dates, pre and post shoot.

  • Monitor and report on progress, identify potential risks to delivery and then raise with Studio Production & Planning Manager.

  • Resolves all shoot queries on set to ensure they are dealt with in an efficient manner, communicating clearly.

  • Organises fashion castings, liaising with agencies on large scale to get the best possible model options.

  • Communicating the layouts and specific image requirements to teams for specialist shoots.

  • Attends reviews to gather information and key learnings for upcoming photography and video briefs.

  • Plans shoots to ensure Health & Safety requirements are met

What will you be doing?

  • Liaising with key stakeholders and interrogating all information on briefings from the production co-ordinators and buying teams to ensure that the content supports the wider customer strategy and meets the brand objectives

  • Project managing shoots from beginning to end in a busy photographic studio, including scheduling, overseeing set designs for the shoot, liaising with the Art Designers

  • Producing E-Commerce imagery, lifestyle and video for online, marketing, social, and print, ensuring the product is at the studio, retouching is carried out on time, and the images are completed to the highest standard by the required deadline

  • Making recommendations to ensure ways of working achieve optimal efficiency, highest image quality and optimal shot count, whilst being accountable for delivering within budget

  • Demonstrating your experience of working as a Shoot Producer within a retail environment with an accurate, organised and self-motivated approach

  • An effective communicator, with an ability to create and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and colleagues.

Essential skills you’ll need:

  • Extensive Production experience within either Studio or Agency environment, on e-com still and motion/video

  • Experience in planning in a commercial environment with a creative output.

  • Strong communication skills and experience of working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

  • The ability to demonstrate working autonomously and without supervision

  • Experience in managing shoot budgets

Desirable skills you’ll have:

  • Fashion e-com experience

  • Post Production experience

  • Recent and competent Video Production experience

  • Use of Google Documents (Google Workspace)
