The aim of the RM team is to maximise utilisation and career opportunities by efficiently managing practitioner time. We are a relationship and knowledge focused team; valued for the time we take to understand the full range of client project opportunities in our business. We also spend a great deal of our time getting to knowing our people, their skills, development needs, and career ambitions. Our job is then to match these up people to projects as best as possible.

In this role you’ll be a measured on the power of your relationships and how you use your networks and the people you know to suggest creative and swift solutions. You’ll be supported by your colleagues, of course, as well as the RM Business Partner for the Customer & Marketing portfolio and the Consulting RM Director. Connect to your opportunity

  • Accountable for making and maintaining relationships from Partner to Consultant, understanding their individual skills, experience and areas of specialism; ensuring you are able to tailor your style to work effectively with all grades and build trust at all levels.
  • Work closely with senior members of the business to understand their detailed resource requirements, ensuring they request resources for sold and nearly sold roles through the RM system; STAFFIT and tracking each request through to confirmation stage.
  • Develop a rapport with practitioners understanding their primary career aspirations, areas of particular strength and development needs. Work to balance these with the needs of the business whilst ensuring all open opportunities are resourced effectively.

Data Management & Forecasting

  • Using the Deloitte RM system STAFFIT, support the Lead RM for C&M in preparing regular management reports on availability and forecast utilisation.
  • Whilst STAFFIT is self-service you will be required drive traffic to the system appropriately across the whole of the Customer & Marketing practice – ensuring a consistent message to all practitioners around compliance and the importance of good data.
  • Monitor the accuracy of that data in STAFFIT; support the business in investigating any errors or inaccuracies. With a focus on continuous improvement, advise on how to prevent future recurrence of data issues and re-educate users as needed.

Essential:

  • Experienced candidates with a background in recruitment / relationship management within the consulting / professional services / partnership-based organisation may also be considered.
  • You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by your prior experience
  • You will have had professional work experience in a medium to large sized organisation.
  • Computer literate, in particular an excellent working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Numerate and well organised.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work on detail and identify discrepancies in short timescales.
  • A diligent and conscientious approach to carrying out work is essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Being able to talk authoritatively and with credibility to senior stakeholders either one to one or in large meetings.
  • Willingness to present and be recognised as the go-to person for a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience of Resource Management within a consulting business.
  • Some experience of Digital Consulting would be preferred.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
