THE ALLSAINTS TEAM

At AllSaints we are in the business of feelings - making our customers feel cool and confident. If, like us, you believe in the power of a great outfit, we'd love to talk to you.

We're a global brand made up of a very diverse mix of talented people in a huge variety of roles. Our products are designed in house and made by a small number of suppliers and artisans around the world to sustainable standards.

We are a brand embarking on a very exciting plan and we are seeking new members of the team who want to contribute to this.

THE ROLE

Everyday the people partnering team supports our teams with creating a positive employee experience and ensures that we are always giving the best advice to support a team member's journey in our brand.

Reporting into the global people and culture director you will manage business partnering across all functions based in the UK and EU and lead a team of three people partners. The key relationships are with directors and leaders of teams in our East London studios (head office) as well as across our network of stores and our distribution centre.

Together we provide business partnering, people insight, organisation design, policy advice, procedure updates, ER training and much more. At the heart of what we do is to empower and coach leaders to create a fair, consistent and positive experience for our 2,300 team members.

You will oversee and manage the full range of ER topics such as wellbeing discussions, investigations, disciplinaries, mediation, performance management as well as support the people leadership team with any ongoing projects, policy reviews or relevant market employment law updates.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our people & culture team of 20 is based in our iconic East London Studios. This is where the heart of our AllSaints head office teams are based and is where our iconic East London collections are created.

We are active business partners, spending at least 60% of our time either in the office or in stores with our internal customers to ensure we create meaningful relationships, with the balance being work from home in a hybrid model.

We make great things happen, and are all encouraged to think differently, sharing ideas and suggestions for how we can engage our teams with our policies and ways of working.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Coaching and guiding the people partners on caseloads and people matters, ensuring you lead by example as a brand ambassador and uphold our values across the employee experience regardless of the situation
  • Offering senior leaders in the brand quality advice on how to navigate ER cases, ensuring that we utilise the full range of our people strategies to support improvement such as SmartSaints and PIPs
  • Offering constructive advice and support to people managers who are navigating investigations, disciplinaries or grievances. Ensuring the process is completed not only procedurally correct but importantly fairly and timely
  • Act as a sounding board and support to the people senior leadership people team on any people matters, strategy decisions and contributing to our overall OD when necessary, coordinating ER timeframes and changes
  • Providing regular HR updates to the people leadership team about ER caseload, employment law recommendations and ongoing cases
  • Partner with the people & culture senior leadership team to oversee and/or support on people projects for example such as our new HR system implementation, bi-annual engagement survey or remuneration activities
  • Oversee accurate record keeping, filing and data management across all ER cases, people activities and policy documents, ensuring fit for purpose with any relevant market law changes
  • Delivering regular policy training as part of our people policy series to team members

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • First and foremost you have an appetite for people and culture and a skill for partnering with your customers. You know how to truly listen, connect and make considered recommendations in a way which provides leaders with constructive thought
  • You have a passion for employment law with a strong understanding of local market legislation across the UK and EU
  • Positive and inspiring: you want to help our teams do their best and feel appreciated. You have a desire to be part of a coaching culture and demonstrate this in your ER advice. You take time to think about not only the legalities but what is right for our team members before a decision is made
  • You have proficient understanding across HR procedures, confidentially navigating investigations, disciplinaries and grievances. You are comfortable with guiding managers through decision outcomes and confident with chairing the occasional case
  • Equality Inclusion and Diversity has deep meaning for you and you understand the importance of contributing to a culture of embracing this philosophy. You have experience with implementing strategies to contribute to an inclusive environment
  • You are no stranger to tribunals, ACAS or policy reviews. You are confident in reviewing any formal documentation through a commercial and legislative lens, ensuring you adapt to our brand values and tone of voice for our customers
  • You strive for the best quality work in everything you do and form relationships with your customers which emulate this mindset
  • You have a proven ability to challenge yourself and do not shy away from supporting others even if its outside of your day job
  • You love fashion! We need you to be an irresistible ambassador for AllSaints and a believer in the power of an amazing new outfit (or three!)
  • Strong business acumen - you know your teams, brand and customer environment inside and out
  • An active user of either google or microsoft, with proven ability to use to your commercial advantage; you know what your customers want and how to deliver on their expectations - it's your passion and it shows!
