We are looking for Relief Support Workers to join our Registered Service based in Winterton, Norfolk
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives? For some people, Support Work is something they would love to do but life makes it difficult to commit to a full or part time position. That's where the role of a Relief Support Worker comes in! It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work, based on your availability and the needs of the service.
As a Relief Support Worker flexibility is key as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts. You will be required to work a variety of shifts on a rota basis, which includes weekends and bank holidays. The shifts vary from early to late (usually ranging from 7am to 10pm) and include sleep ins (sleep ins are when you stay the night at the service and sleep in the staff room). This service also has waking night staff. You may be asked if you can cover shifts in other services as well. You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
About the Service
We have two Services in Winterton. Winterton is a wonderful village located along the stunning Norfolk coast, offering many beautiful walks. Perhaps you will join one of the people we support for a walk along one of Norfolk’s finest beaches and then a hot drink at one of the local cafés? We are also not far from Great Yarmouth which hosts many attractions such as The Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre and amazing beaches!
There are currently four adults with learning disabilities living here and you will be supporting them in their daily lives to live as independently as they can and to achieve their goals!
This service is right next door to another of our services, and the people who live here have complex health needs and need more support. There are a range of different activities offered to suit everyone - swimming, going out to clubs, socialising, eating out with friends, listening to music, and enjoying different sensory activities. At this service, we have recently had a new crafts room created for doing arts and crafts which they love! We have an amazing garden for everyone to enjoy - we have recently purchased wheelchair tracks for the garden and a new wheelchair adapted flower bed!
