Cyber Security Professional Programme

Are you interested in pursuing a dynamic and rewarding career in the field of cyber security? If so, Cadent Gas is currently seeking skilled and driven individuals to join our Cyber Security Professional Programme.

You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Cyber Security professionals. You will be involved in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures and tools to protect the organization's information assets from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.

During the programme, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security incident management. You will also receive training in various aspects of Cyber Security including risk management, network security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001

At Cadent Gas, we believe in investing in the next generation of professionals and leaders who are eager to develop their skills and gain experience in the industry. Our Professional program spans over 24 months and consists of four six-month placements, offering a diverse range of experiences across our business. In addition, you will receive at least 20 days of recognized training and attend a minimum of one conference to enhance your professional development and prepare you for the future. In addition to high-quality training that's paid for you’ll be supported every step of the way by a dedicated programme manager, business mentor and line manager. What you will bring

We’re looking for people who act with pride, purpose, and ownership to join our Professional Programme, along with:

• A Cyber Degree, Computer Science or relevant experience

• A passion to develop a career in Cyber Security

• A willingness to learn with lots of drive and motivation

• Someone organised and structured and can prioritise activities

• A team player who can communicate, collaborate and enjoy working with different people.

• Able to clearly communicate to senior management and effective engagement with our stakeholders

• Ability to approach complex problems in a methodical and logical manner

• Ability to challenge and improve processes

• Good knowledge of using Microsoft Office to analyse and present information
