ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team. The ScreenX Production Manager will report directly to the SX Production Supervisor and be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination of assets and materials, and costs between, Hollywood studio's feature film post-production and ScreenX production teams (based in Headquarters, South Korea). The ScreenX Production Manager will manage production across 2-3 films simultaneously, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ScreenX Production Manager will also be responsible for preparing and executing approval sessions (QCs) with directors, studio executives, and other post-production staff to finalize the ScreenX version for worldwide release.
ScreenX Production Overview:
ScreenX utilizes multi-projection technology within a commercial theater and projects extended images on the left and right wall to create an immersive experience for the audience. The production department is responsible for assessing feature films for ScreenX conversion and facilitates communication between the studios and the production team in Headquarters to ensure all necessary materials are acquired in time and within budget, ultimately receiving approval from studios and filmmakers for commercial release in ScreenX.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with Producers in Korea and the Production Supervisor in the US to begin coordination of assets (editorial and VFX) between Studio, VFX Houses, and ScreenX throughout the production process on 2-3 Feature films at any given time.
· With the help of the Production Coordinator manage day-to-day tracking of assets from multiple VFX vendors, and studios simultaneously and report status to the Production Supervisor daily.
· Ensure correct technical parameters are being followed for editorial, and CG asset turnovers from studios and VFX vendors to ScreenX production team in Korea to facilitate a seamless workflow.
· Monitor and maintain ongoing costs for assets and labor to keep projects within budget.
· Manage requests from Studio Representatives and filmmakers to schedule, set up, and operate playback for local demonstrations, events, and QCs as necessary.
· Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to develop new/updated ScreenX production pipelines to streamline the ScreenX production process.
· Keep relationships with third-party vendors and contractors as needed to support ScreenX productions.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in film, VFX, media production, or a related field.
· At least 5 years of experience in a production management role, with a track record of successful project delivery in the entertainment industry.
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex production schedules and budgets simultaneously.
· Ability to communicate with a positive attitude and encourage collaboration
· The ability to work irregular hours as production takes place across US, Korea, and Europe
· Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary as cross-global communication is necessary for day-to-day
· Computer skills preferred: Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Premiere, and Project Management software (ex. Shotgrid, Ftrack, Trello, etc.)
