Job title: Engineering Manager (Vanguard CS)

What you’ll be doing:
- Management & integration of an engineering programme or project, consisting of several major engineering systems, disciplines, platform assemblies, equipment or software products
- Delivery of packages of work/services, involving new products and/or complex upgrades, utilising new and existing technologies, requiring multiple interfaces with customers/suppliers
- Delivery of projects to meet customer and contractual obligations for cost, quality, timeliness, and specification
- Integration of multidiscipline engineering teams, resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems, and capabilities
Your skills and experiences:
- Background in systems engineering, and/or combat systems experience from a Naval background
- Leadership of engineering teams, including strengths in communication and people motivation
- Engineering planning and design reviews (lifecycle maturity management)
- Experience of configuration management

The Vanguard Combat Systems upgrade delivery team:
As the Vanguard CS Engineering Manager, you will report to the Programme Engineering Manager, and be responsible for the management of the engineering project team to deliver major capability upgrades to the In-Service Submarine Vanguard Combat System. This will consist of leading a team of circa 12 direct/indirect reports across engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, software, integration, safety, security, support, etc.)
